The results are very important as they contribute to improving your oral health as well as your confidence, image and looks.

For Children who really want to stand out, we offer braces with the latest colours and fashion.

How do Braces Work?

There are two main components of braces, brackets, which are bonded directly to the tooth, and archwires, that connect the brackets. Contrary to what most people think; it is the archwire that actually moves the teeth. The brackets serve only as "handles". the archwire generates a steady gentle pressure to move the teeth into their proper position.

Like moving a stick through sand, as the tooth moves, the bone gives way on one side, and fills in on the other. Elastics are used to make the upper and lower teeth bite together properly.

Different Types of Braces

"Metal" braces are the most popular with kids and teenagers. they love using different colours of ligature ties. These braces are much smaller than ever before.

Translucent "Ceramic" braces are the most popular with adults. You have to be very close to someone to be able to see them, yet, because they are a ceramic material, they are more fragile. Treatment time is often slightly longer with ceramic braces.

"Lingual" braces are fitted to the back of your teeth rather than the front, so while they work just as effectively, and do the same job as metal braces, most of the metal is concealed.

Invisalign Dental Specialists MK offer our patients the nearly invisible way to straighten your teeth. With no metal wires or brackets to irritate your mouth, and the fact that no one will notice you are in treatment, this is a popular alternative for especially our adult patients.

Invisalign is a system that uses a series of clear polymer overlays to straighten teeth. However, not all patients are candidates for Invisalign treatment. please schedule an appointment with our office for an evaluation.

PERIODONTIC SERVICES
Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that teeth appear natural and that facial contours will be preserved. The implants themselves are small titanium roots that are placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. In addition, implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing the bone deterioration that occurs when teeth are missing.

Dental implants are changing the way people live! With them, people are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh and enjoy life. Please call us for a Dental Specialists MK implants consultation if you are considering dental implants.
